The Public Symposium
New Insights into Treatment and Support for Developmental Disorders
University of Tokyo School of Medicine and the University of Tokyo Hospital have jointly embarked on a new educational system, Clinical Frontier Program for Neurodevelopmental Disorders. This program focuses on the treatment and support of varying childhood disorders such as Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). The symposium which is open to the public is a part of this project as well as partly supported by the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare . The symposium will involve talks by the presenters above as well as the screening of a movie documentary of an autistic child, under the editorship of Dr. Masami Sasaki. There will be a simultaneous interpreter available for the English presentations.
